Castleton Commodities International LLC (“CCI”) acquired Collegiate Clean Energy (“CCE”) and INGENCO’s landfill gas generation business and continues to operate renewable energy facilities in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
CCI and INGENCO work with CCE in supplying renewable electricity for customers. INGENCO was founded in Virginia over 25 years ago, and is now one of the leading landfill-gas-to-energy companies in the United States. Operating projects include 18 distributed generating projects totaling 160 MW of installed capacity. Projects range in size from 3 to 16 MW. INGENCO’s projects are mainly along the eastern United States in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and North Carolina.
CCE uses renewable electricity supplied by landfill gas projects and other renewable sources to serve colleges and universities in the Eastern United States. CCE and INGENCO make their facilities available to colleges for educational opportunities to further sustain ability and environmental knowledge.
